Terms of Use

By creating an account, using the dashboard, or submitting a quote request through a provider's page, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

First $1K is a toolkit for local service providers. We do not perform the underlying trade work, employ providers, or guarantee jobs, quotes, or payments between providers and customers.

Providers must provide accurate business information, keep login credentials secure, and use the service in compliance with applicable laws (including Canadian privacy laws when handling customer contact information).

You are responsible for what you publish on your service page, what you send in quotes, and how you communicate with customers.

When you submit a quote request, your details are shared with the provider you contacted so they can respond. Do not submit payment card numbers, passwords, or unrelated sensitive information in the message field.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful, harassing, or fraudulent activity.
• Scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass security controls.
• Upload malware or misleading content.
• Collect or misuse customer data for unrelated marketing without proper consent.

Quote and notification emails depend on correct configuration and third-party delivery. We do not guarantee inbox delivery. Providers should verify email setup before sending quotes to customers.

If a quote or notification does not arrive, check spam or junk folders first—on your side and ask customers to check theirs. New sending domains often land in spam until reputation builds.

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, First $1K and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for disputes between providers and customers. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100 if you have not paid fees, whichever is greater.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or to protect the service. See the Privacy Policy for how to request account deletion.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province in which the operator of First $1K primarily conducts business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in that province have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer protections that cannot be waived.
